After auditioning with 3-4 hundred other dancers, I became a member of the Clippers Spirit Dancers for the Clippers 2009-2010 season. This was the beginning of my red-head parade, as my new coaches decided to lengthen and brighten my hair. From there, the team came together and the games began.
We did so many fun events, and even got to dress up in costumes for the Halloween game. I was Poison Ivy, and my big sister on the team, Shannon, was a sailor girl.
I can't tell you how much I loved performing at the Clippers games during that season! Dancing on an actual wood floor, 3-5 times a game as well as interacting with the crowd to get them going, my heaven! Another great advantage was that I was taught a variety of dances by some incredible choreographers of all different genres. We did disco, jazz, hip hop, and many other styles.
